We love to shine a light on people who’ve gone to exceptional lengths to support what we do at CEO Sleepout. Meet Markus Thesleff, CEO Sleepout’s biggest hitter of 2024.
Markus Thesleff, Founder and CEO of the Thesleff Group, is a trailblazer in hospitality who leads with vision, purpose, and soul. With over 20 years in the industry, he’s behind some of London’s most dynamic culinary destinations—Los Mochis, Juno Omakase, Sale e Pepe, Luna Omakase, and Viajante87—each rooted in quality, connection, and community.
But for Markus, hospitality goes far beyond the plate. Deeply moved by the injustice of food inequality, he’s made it his mission to create meaningful impact.
Through a powerful partnership with The Felix Project, Los Mochis has donated more than 145,000 meals in the past year alone, contributing to a remarkable total of 440,000 meals since 2021. For Markus, this isn’t about checking a CSR box – it’s about making sure no one is left behind.
That same passion drove his incredible effort at CEO Sleepout London 2024, where he raised a further £40,700 to support the fight against homelessness, making Markus the highest individual fundraiser of the year. His phenomenal contribution was a call to action for the wider business community to lead with compassion and courage: to step up, and stand in solidarity with those who face unimaginable hardship.
Markus’s leadership is a powerful blend of strategy and heart. He knows that real change takes both empathy and investment and he brings both in abundance.
“Fighting food insecurity is more than a charity donation; it’s about nourishing hope and building a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive,” he says.
We couldn’t agree more.
Markus Thesleff is living proof that purpose-driven leadership doesn’t just elevate business, it lays the foundation for a better world.
