I’ve been working in business for over 25 years. After qualifying in optics and business management, I’ve managed optician practices since 2002 and also worked as a Sainsbury’s store manager while building my property journey and then finally setting up my own Property business in 2017.
What are some of your driving values?
My core values are honesty, responsibility and resilience. Life has its ups and downs — I’ve experienced both — and I believe that showing kindness, doing the right thing and helping others through challenges matters.
You’ve always been great at giving back, why is it important to you?
Giving back matters deeply to me because I’ve been helped by others along the way. There were people who believed in me when I needed it most — that support changed my path — and I want to pay that forward.
Which causes are closest to your heart / one thing about society in the UK that you wish you could change?
Homelessness is close to my heart. Having a safe and secure place to live shouldn’t be out of reach for so many. I know what it’s like not to have much, and I want to see more compassion and long-term support for people before they reach crisis point.
How did you get involved in the CEO Sleepout?
I got involved because the CEO Sleepout is a meaningful way for business leaders to step outside their comfort zone and understand the reality of homelessness, even if just for one night. It’s an important reminder of our shared humanity.
What other ways do you "give back" or work to strengthen communities you work within?
I mentor and support others in property and business, sharing what I’ve learned to help people avoid common mistakes. I also led the Milton Keynes Property Investors Network for five years, bringing people together to learn and support one another. I love helping with local charities both volunteering and fundraising and feeding the homeless. I think it is also important to do this as a family with my son where possible as it also invaluable for them
Name one thing you'd like people to know about your life and work:
Nothing has been handed to me — everything I’ve built has been through hard work, persistence, and learning from mistakes. I believe anything is possible with belief and the right support, but also reflecting on what is really important. For me, its family, health and embracing opportunities to create memories.
How might you see business playing a part in creating a fairer society here in the UK?
Business can help create a fairer society by acting responsibly, supporting local communities, and creating opportunities for people to thrive — not just surviving, but a chance to flourish.
Why is it important that those in business lead with purpose?
Leaders with purpose inspire trust, encourage others, and help create positive change that goes beyond profit — strengthening communities and making society fairer.
