Get ready to dust off your sleeping bag and make a difference to local lives.
Imagine if you had no home, no food, and nowhere you felt safe. That’s the nightmare facing thousands who have been pulled into poverty or made homeless since the start of the pandemic.
On October 21st, big-hearted HSBC Wealth & Personal Banking employees will give up their beds for one night to sleep out at home – on the sofa, floor, or somewhere safe outside.
Aim to raise or donate £100 for Shelter & CEO Sleepout UK or nominate a homeless charity close to your heart.
We’re uniting across the UK via zoom on the big night to fight homelessness from our backyards. And we need your help!
"The best bit was meeting so many lovely people who are making an incredible difference to those who are ignored, blamed and dismissed. I was humbled by the sense of love and generosity from everyone involved."
"I feel even more strongly now about working towards ensuring that no one in Manchester has to be homeless or sleep rough."
"Now I always remember to stop and give 5 minutes of time over money so these people can be seen."
"I think my key takeaway is the whole concept of “it could happen to anyone” – homeless people shouldn’t be seen as “other”, they’re just us, if the dice had fallen slightly differently."
"I appreciate how mentally tough it must be knowing you have to repeat day after day. Providing warmth, food and shelter is only part of the issue. Getting people to feel safe, a sense of belonging and hope is just as important if not more."
Thanks for taking part!
