I’m delighted to have you with us as we join forces with The Teesside Charity coming together to fight homelessness and poverty across Teesside!

Our aim is for 100 of you big hearted business people to raise a massive £100,000! This will boost local charities in their bid to prevent homelessness in our area – just when it’s needed most. Your night sleeping outdoors may not be warm or comfortable, but it could change somebody’s life.

Date: 2 May 2024

Time: 8pm – 6:30am

Venue: Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough

Our pledge: You’ll have fun, meet fascinating people, and gain insight into homelessness in 2023.

Your pledge: Raise a minimum of £1,000 (inc. gift aid) per person via sponsorship, donation, or corporate match-funding.

We know fundraising has changed in the last few years, but all it takes is a bit of cheeky persistence – so do keep asking. Don’t be shy! Let your friends, family, contacts and colleagues know that their support means a lot to you and could change somebody’s life.
What works
We asked our biggest hitters what works well to help you smash that target out of the park…
1 – Making sure you have a great picture and compelling story on your Just Giving page – give your contacts every reason to support you and this amazing cause.
2 – Using the whatsapp broadcast function to send a short message with your fundraising page link to all of your phone contacts – this is the quickest way to build your fundraising base – and get over the line! There’s text you can use below.
3 – Email all of your friends, contacts and colleagues along with a short paragraph about why you’re fighting homelessness, asking them to contribute – with a link to your just giving page.
4 – Tag and thank all those who have already sponsored you on Facebook and LinkedIn. This really gets others in your joint timelines motivated to support you! Use images and videos where you can.
