LCCI is the very centre of London’s business community, supporting members, making connections that spark new opportunity, and championing the needs and interests of London businesses. As London’s key hub for the business community, LCCI supports its members’ businesses through a range of services, products, and events.
LCCI is committed to creating business connections and opportunities, and advocate on behalf of London’s business community. We are thrilled that LCCI has chosen to support CEO Sleepout London in 2023, and the chief executive, Richard Burge has put his hand up to volunteer to sleep out with us. Richard expands on the reasons why he felt it was important to get involved:
“As the CEO of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I firmly believe that businesses have a vital role to play in addressing social issues and taking responsibility for the well-being of our communities. Homelessness is a pressing problem that affects individuals and families across the UK, and it is incumbent upon us as a business community to come together and make a difference.
That is why the LCCI is proud to sponsor the CEO Sleepout, a national charity event aimed at raising funds for frontline services and creating meaningful change in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. Our involvement in this initiative reflects our deep commitment to the well-being of London and its citizens.
Homelessness It is a complex issue that requires a collaborative approach from all sectors, including businesses, government, and community organisations. I strongly believe that by leveraging our collective resources and expertise, we can make a tangible difference in tackling homelessness and creating opportunities for those in need.
The CEO Sleepout provides an excellent platform for the business community to unite and contribute to this important cause. It is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility and to inspire others to join us in fighting homelessness. I am proud to support this initiative and encourage all businesses to take a proactive stance in addressing social issues and making a positive impact in our society.” ~Richard Burge.
