"The best bit was meeting so many lovely people who are making an incredible difference to those who are ignored, blamed and dismissed. I was humbled by the sense of love and generosity from everyone involved."
"I feel even more strongly now about working towards ensuring that no one in Manchester has to be homeless or sleep rough."
"Now I always remember to stop and give 5 minutes of time over money so these people can be seen."
"I think my key takeaway is the whole concept of “it could happen to anyone” – homeless people shouldn’t be seen as “other”, they’re just us, if the dice had fallen slightly differently."
"I appreciate how mentally tough it must be knowing you have to repeat day after day. Providing warmth, food and shelter is only part of the issue. Getting people to feel safe, a sense of belonging and hope is just as important if not more."
