About Nomad Opening Doors

Nomad Opening Doors is a Sheffield-based housing charity working to break the cycle of homelessness.
We support some of the most vulnerable people in our community, particularly those who don’t qualify for help from local authorities. This includes individuals experiencing hidden homelessness, such as sofa-surfing or living in unsafe, temporary accommodation. Many feel overlooked and are struggling with poor mental health and the effects of prolonged instability.

Our work goes beyond housing. We offer one-to-one guidance, life skills training, and personalised support into employment, education, or volunteering. Whether it’s helping someone move into their first independent home or rebuild confidence after a setback, we’re there when it matters most. Nomad also runs Clarity Lettings and Four Trees Lettings, ethical letting agencies that generate income for the charity and provide affordable homes for those who need them most.

How CEO Sleepout Helps

By taking part in CEO Sleepout, you’ll be helping us reach more people at risk of homelessness across South Yorkshire.

The money raised will directly support:
• One-to-one support sessions to help people navigate challenges and make progress
• Supported accommodation placements for those not ready for a tenancy
• Employability support, including CV help, interview coaching, and links to local opportunities
• Life skills workshops, covering everything from budgeting to wellbeing
• Staffing costs, ensuring we can continue delivering person-centred, long-term support
