Focus4Hope – Community Support for Those Facing Hardship
For many people, hardship doesn’t always look the same. It can be homelessness, isolation, poverty, or fleeing unsafe situations. Often, these challenges overlap, leaving individuals without the support they need to feel safe and stable.
Focus4Hope works across West Yorkshire to support people facing a wide range of difficulties. What began as a small group of friends wanting to help their community has grown into a well-established local charity, supporting thousands of people each year.
Their work reaches those who are often most at risk, people experiencing homelessness, older individuals facing isolation, and those escaping domestic abuse. They also support people who may not fit into a single category but are struggling with day-to-day life and need practical help.
A key part of their service is providing food support through their Brighouse-based food bank, delivering regular parcels to individuals and families in need. Alongside this, they offer wider support that helps people feel less alone and more connected to their community.
Every situation is different, and the challenges people face can change over time. Focus4Hope responds to this by offering support that reflects real-life needs, helping people access the essentials while also providing reassurance and human connection.
Through CEO Sleepout, they are able to continue this work reaching more people across the region and strengthening the support available to those facing difficult circumstances.
