Falcon Support Services

Falcon Support Services has been helping those in need across Leicestershire find independence through housing, recovery and community support for 20 years.

Formed in 2001, Falcon Support Services is a registered charity with the mission to help vulnerable people transform their lives enabling them to live independently, healthily and positively contribute to their community. Falcon Support Services seek to promote the dignity of vulnerable people, to restore physical and mental health and wellbeing, including substance misuse support and provide high quality, stable supportive environments and accommodation for vulnerable people during their transition to independence. We also assist vulnerable people in developing the social and life skills necessary to plan and prepare for their futures. This allows vulnerable people to integrate into the local community. As a charity Falcon Support Services core values are reflected in of their actions. Dignity is the first pillar which ensures everyone has honour and respect as fellow humans– to ensure every individual feels valued, hopeful, and equipped to thrive. We achieve this through five key, integrated service areas.

Housing: As a Registered Provider of Social Housing, we provide safe and supported accommodation for those experiencing homelessness or at immediate risk of homelessness across Leicestershire and Rutland and Hinckley, enabling them to move from crisis to independence.  We have a rough sleeper service and work to support them to connect with appropriate services.

We currently provide 115 bed spaces across Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth and Northwest Leicestershire taking from across Leicestershire and Rutland. We have 29 beds at our flagship Falcon Centre.
Training & Education: We empower individuals to believe in their potential by running accredited training and employability programmes and a wide range of courses from first aid to including those in our housing, with certified skills, vocational experience, and confidence for independent futures.
Life hub: We have a new life hub which is part of the Getting Help in Neighbourhood Programme, Leicestershire Partnership Trust as part of their prevention work to build resilience and mental health from developing or deteriorating: We offer safe, positive environments where service users can learn life skills, develop healthy habits, and find strong community connections. Whether seeking mindfulness sessions, workshops, games or therapeutic sessions, the Life Hub is a community sanctuary for personal growth such as DJing and music sessions, the life hub is a welcoming and exclusive space dedicated to nurturing wellbeing, increasing resilience and improving life skills. It offers a variety of activities and workshops and a supportive environment where attendees can relax, learn and grow.
Support & Advice: We offer support and non-judgemental advice on things like accessing services and recovery support and help people to get into the system by applying for ID which allows them to access basic services

Recovery – We help our service users to battle addiction and provide health interventions to support individuals on their recovery journey. We offer early bird meetings at the Falcon Centre; substance misuse support delivered in partnership with Turning Point to deliver harm reduction and aftercare recovery support.

Why CEO Sleepout is Important to Us
CEO Sleepout is a partnership that seeks to leverage the influence of business leaders to raise significant funds which will help support frontline services and help battle the growing crisis of homelessness. For one night only, executives can step into the shoes of a homeless person – a valuable experience that is humbling and enlightening and helps them to gain a powerful, first-hand insight into the harsh realities faced by people sleeping rough.

By joining a sleepout participants will gain a deeper and humbling understanding of the vulnerability faced by those on the streets, helping them to become powerful advocates. There really is no better way to sharpen your decision-making skills when your survival is hinged on it. When faced with cold, hunger and crisis, individuals can become the very best resilient leaders.

Not only does sleeping out for charity deepen your empathy it takes CSR beyond a tick box exercise and encourages businesses to embed social value into their core operations.

Join us in solidarity to influence change and make a difference to those impacted by homelessness. It’s about more than offering someone shelter, but also safety, support, mentoring, work, opportunities and encouragement to change their lives for the better – for your tomorrow does not define your today. Persistence is one of our number one values and we won’t give up.

The funds will generate vital awareness which is directly channelled into strengthening our core services such as housing provision and help us expand our services. We aim to provide the safe environment, life-skills training, and mental health support necessary to help prevent homelessness and break the cycle of homelessness, moving from crisis to independence. This partnership fuels both our immediate mission and the long-term awareness required to create lasting change.
