Aberdeen Cyrenians – Supporting People Towards Stability and Inclusion
In every community, there are people facing challenges that can quickly lead to crisis whether that’s homelessness, financial hardship, or isolation.
Through the work of Aberdeen Cyrenians, individuals are supported to move beyond those challenges and build more stable, independent lives.
Across Aberdeen, people access support for a wide range of reasons. Some need immediate help with housing or basic essentials. Others are working through more complex situations, including mental health challenges, substance use, or experiences of abuse and violence.
Support is designed to reflect that complexity. Alongside safe accommodation and emergency assistance, individuals are offered guidance with financial wellbeing, digital skills and everyday living. This creates a foundation that helps people not just manage, but begin to move forward.
The journey is different for everyone. For some, it’s about preventing homelessness before it happens. For others, it’s about rebuilding after a period of crisis. In each case, the focus is on long-term change helping people regain stability, confidence and a sense of control.
This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It is support built around the individual, offering practical help alongside the opportunity to make choices about their own future.
Aberdeen Cyrenians continues to work alongside partners across the city, contributing to a wider effort to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring.
This is not a quick fix. But through this work, people are given the chance to move forward with greater stability, improved wellbeing and a stronger connection to their community.
