ScotsCare: Longstanding Support, Changing Lives
For many people experiencing homelessness, the challenges go beyond housing alone. Financial pressure, isolation, and health issues can all play a part, making it harder to find stability without the right support in place.
ScotsCare has been supporting people in London for over 400 years, continuing a long tradition of helping those facing hardship. As needs have changed over time, so has their work. Following their merger with Borderline in 2023, they expanded their services to include dedicated support for people experiencing homelessness.
They offer a wide range of help, from housing support and financial grants to counselling and training. This includes specialist support for addiction, assistance in securing accommodation, and help reconnecting individuals with family or communities, whether in Scotland or elsewhere.
Each person’s situation is different. Some may need immediate housing, while others require support with health, finances, or rebuilding relationships. ScotsCare works alongside individuals to understand their circumstances and help them find a way forward that feels achievable.
Moving away from homelessness is often a gradual process. With the right support, people can begin to regain stability and rebuild their lives step by step. ScotsCare focuses on creating those opportunities helping individuals move towards a more secure and independent future.
