Oxfordshire Homeless Movement (OHM) – Working Together So No One Sleeps Rough
Homelessness can feel isolating, but no single organisation can solve it alone. Across Oxfordshire, many charities and services are working with people who are sleeping rough or at risk of losing their home, each providing different parts of the support needed.
OHM brings these organisations together. They act as a coordinating point, helping to make sure services are visible, connected, and easy to access. The aim is simple: nobody should have to sleep rough on the streets of Oxfordshire.
Rather than duplicating existing work, OHM focuses on filling the gaps that others cannot cover. When a service already exists, they guide people towards it. When something is missing, they work in partnership to help create the right support.
A key part of their approach is working alongside people with lived experience of homelessness. Through their Lived Experience Advisory Forum, those who have been through homelessness help shape decisions, ensuring support stays practical, relevant, and grounded in real need.
OHM is a small team, supported by volunteers and a steering group, but their impact reaches across the county. By working as a coordinated network, they help strengthen frontline services and make sure support reaches people more effectively.
Funding raised through CEO Sleepout goes directly into project work and frontline support across partner organisations in Oxfordshire. This means resources are focused where they are needed most, supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
By bringing services together rather than working in isolation, OHM helps build a more joined-up response to homelessness across the county.
