Friary Drop-In have been supporting those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness for 35 years from our Centre in West Bridgford on the outskirts of Nottingham.
We provide practical, emotional and advice support to anyone in need who accesses our Centre. The support we provide is non-judgmental and empathetic.
A lack of housing and the cost of living crisis means we are as busy now as we ever have been. We regularly see up to 85 people through our doors on a daily basis. This is currently putting a real strain on resources and raising much needed funds are crucial to being able to continue to provide the support we do.
The majority of those we support have not had the chances in life that many take for granted and James is one of those people. We often support people that have been let down by society and look to help them to make progression and learn to value themselves.
Working with James and never giving up on his situation meant that he finally progressed with his life when the time was right for him. We believe in this person centered approach.
