The rising cost of food, energy and other essential items is putting pressure on household budgets. People are having to make difficult decisions about what items they can afford, including going without essential items. Funding from our Poverty Hurts appeal is available to groups meeting immediate needs and combating poverty over the coming months.
County Durham Community Foundation is an independent grant-making foundation. We work with individuals, families and local businesses who want to make a difference in their community, either in their lifetime, or through leaving a legacy.
The funds and donations from our supporters are then distributed by us in the form of grants, to community groups and voluntary organisations in County Durham.
