CHESS Homeless, in partnership with Essex Cricket Foundation, are delighted to be a part of the CEO Sleepout initiative with an event taking place on 8th May 2025.

Funds raised from this event will enable us to continue our mission to seek to ensure that people who find themselves homeless are supported in ways that enable them to move forward purposefully and in good health.

CHESS began in the 1990’s with a soup run to address the needs of the increasing number of homeless adults within the Chelmsford area.  Over the years it has grown to be able to provide temporary accommodation and 1-1 support to around 60 homeless adults in Chelmsford & Essex within 11 properties.

Our goal is to work alongside our service users enabling them to get their lives back on track.  In addition to this we provide outreach services to rough sleepers in 8 Essex districts with emergency supplies and looking at longer term solutions.

The CEO sleepout will help us provide much needed funds to continue to provide these services.
