Established in 1867, Charity Link works throughout Leicestershire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire to
ensure that people in need have the essential items we all deserve for a decent standard of living.
We work across the community, in conjunction with 250 charities and organisations, to ensure that we get help to those who need it, when they need it. We help people of all ages and backgrounds who find
themselves in severe financial difficulty. We help people who are at risk of homelessness and those moving on from homelessness to set up a home. We also support the victims of domestic violence who often flee with few possessions, people with a chronic illness or disability who are unable to work and struggling on limited benefits, people with mental health issues, vulnerable elderly people, and families unable to make ends meet due to the cost of living crisis. We provide the essential items to ensure that people are warm, safe and fed, helping them to move forward to a positive future where they can reach their full potential. The support we provide is tailored to the individual or family. Items commonly provided include beds and bedding, clothing (including winter coats and school uniforms), beds, cookers, fridge freezers, and washing machines.
Together we can make a huge impact. Over our nearly 150 year history, we have developed a unique way of working. By untapping funds from charitable trusts for people in need, we can turn every £10 you raise into £50 of essential items. This means that just £35 is enough to provide a bed – an item that can be life-changing for someone who has been living without a bed of their own.

The importance of the CEO Sleepout
£1,000 would help to provide 28 beds !
Last year we provided essential items to over 6,000 people, 2,156 of which were people impacted by
homelessness. This level of support makes a hugely positive impact to those we help directly and also to the wider community. However, due to the continuing cost of living crisis and the tough economic climate this is increasingly challenging. We urgently need help to meet the need we are experiencing. Join our CEO Sue to take part in the CEO Sleepout for a unique experience with like-minded people, knowing that every £10 you raise will help to provide £50 worth of essential items for the most vulnerable people in our community.
